Annotation:

(from the preface to the sheet music edition): The present "15 three-part fantasias" were written after intensive study of Bach's 15 "sinfonias" (= three-part inventions). In terms of musical and stylistic style, they follow on from Bach, but are very free in terms of structure and form.
