1st: Allegro assai

2nd: Ballad: Andante espressivo

Annotation on the 2nd movement: the middle section quotes the soloistic piano passage from the ballad of my Quintet #3, op.26 which is also dedicated to friend and fellow musician Wolfgang Gauß.

3rd: Fuga a 4 voci: Allegro

Annotation on the 3rd movement: the extremely striking theme of this fugue has also been arranged by me as the theme of Invention XI (in G minor).

4th: Allegro con brio e molto ritmico
